Frontend Engineer

You will build client sites and internal tooling with a strong bias towards shipping less JavaScript. Our stack is Astro and TypeScript, and our performance budgets are enforced in CI rather than aspired to.

This role suits someone who treats every dependency as a liability until it earns its place, and who enjoys handover as much as greenfield work.

Responsibilities

• Build accessible, fast front-ends against agreed budgets
• Own component architecture across client projects
• Review pull requests and mentor less experienced engineers
• Write the handover documentation clients actually use

Requirements

• Strong TypeScript and modern CSS
• Experience with a static-site or hybrid framework
• A track record of measurable performance work
• Clear written communication
